Build / validation builds

Test real demand before you commit a team.

A product validation build is the real product, scoped to exactly what proves your idea, so you can put it in front of users before you fund a team. You get something people can actually use, not a spec or a slide. The fastest way to an answer is to build only the part that carries it.

Hiring to test an idea is backwards

The usual way to test a new idea is to build a team first. Hire a couple of engineers, a designer, maybe a product lead, then spend months finding out whether the thing is worth building at all. It feels like progress because there are people and standups and a roadmap. But most of it is spending, and almost all of it happens before you have learned the one thing that matters: does anyone actually want this.

A validation build flips the order. Build the real product first, scoped to the single belief that has to be true, prove it with real users, and only then build the team around something that already works. It is cheaper to learn, faster to move, and it turns your first hire from a bet into a decision backed by evidence.

What we build

  • The one thing that proves it. The feature or flow that carries the central belief, built for real use rather than a staged demo.
  • Only what the question needs. We scope out everything you cannot yet justify, because the speed comes from not building the wrong thing.
  • Instrumentation. The tracking that lets you read what users actually do, so the result is evidence and not a feeling.
  • A foundation to grow on. Built so that when it works, we extend it into the full product instead of throwing it away.

Why it holds up

The hard part is not writing code fast. It is deciding what to build and what to fake, so the test is honest and cheap. Fake the parts that do not affect the answer. Build for real the parts a user actually touches, because a product that only works with three clean inputs has proven nothing.

AI gives us the pace. Senior architecture and product judgment keep it sound. That combination is what lets a validation build move fast and still hold up when a real person uses it in a way you did not expect, which is exactly when a weaker build breaks and a weaker answer misleads you.

Best for

Founders and teams testing a real bet.

Founders testing real demand, and companies proving an internal bet before they fund it. If you are not sure the idea is worth a team yet, this is how you find out.

Take the build on its own, or the whole journey from design to growth.

Questions

Before you ask.

What do I actually get?

A real, working product scoped to the one thing that proves your idea. Something people can use and you can put in front of real users, not a spec, a wireframe or a slide.

How is this different from an agency build?

We do not build the whole thing and bill the hours. We build only the part that answers the question in front of you, so you learn fast and cheaply whether to go further. An agency needs a full brief and gives you execution. This starts before the brief, with deciding what to prove.

Is this just prompting an AI?

No. AI gives the speed. The architecture, the reliability, and the call on what to build versus fake are made by people who have shipped. A product built on skipped judgment works in a demo and falls apart on real inputs. That is the opposite of what a validation build is for.

Won't a product built this fast be throwaway?

It depends where the speed comes from. We build the part that proves the idea to a standard that survives real use, on foundations we can keep building on. When it validates, we extend it into the full product rather than starting over.

What happens after it validates?

We keep building it into the full product, or hand it over. Either way, when it is time to grow the team, you are hiring to scale something proven, which is a far better and less risky hire than staffing up to find out whether the idea holds at all.

Have a product worth proving

Prove it before you build the team.

Send a note and we will tell you the fastest way to prove it, even if the honest answer is that you do not need us yet.
